1976 Honda CB750K “Brat Style”
This gorgeous 1976 Honda CB750K “Brat Style” was built for its current owner in by Atlanta Motorcycle Works in 2018. It traveled up here to the PNW in August of 2019. The build was pretty extensive so we have linked the shop in Atlanta’s website write up. We were told over $16,000 invested! It has been totally modernized with the coolest switch gear and electronics from MotoGadget. Vintage meets Modern in a very cool way. We are going to tidy up a few details before this one goes away but come check it out soon!
“What began as a simple engine rebuild transformed a bone stock ’76 CB750K6 into something amazing. No part of this machine has been left untouched. Starting with vapor honing and completely rebuilding the engine, the frame and swing arm were powder coated gloss black, creating a great foundation for this build”.

The Nitty-Gritty: a Brat Style Definition
With all of the motorcycle classifications out there and all of the slang terms applied to bikes these days, we hear a lot of people asking ”what the heck does brat style mean, what’s a bratstyle motorcycle?” We are going to attempt a working definition of brat style here. What brat style means to us. This is not the only definition, but it’s the BikeBound definition, the one we will use to classify featured customs on the blog. Today, there is a large movement toward bratstyle bikes around the world. The major push is coming in the Asian and Australian markets, but a lot of customs are coming out of the United States as well. Monster Craftsman and Visual Impact both offer brat kits for the Yamaha XS650, one of the most popular platforms for brat builds. These require only minor cutting and welding. Unlike the streetfighter genre, the brat trend has not been adopted by any factory manufacturers. This is probably the best, in that part of the mystique of this style is the low-down, almost garage-built look.
