‘Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War’ Dethrones Fullmetal Alchemist As The Top Rated Anime On MyAnimeList

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic- has recently become the number one rated anime on MyAnimeList, dethroning the 2009 classic, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

The third season of the hit romantic comedy series currently has a score of 9.17, compared to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’s (FMAB) 9.14 score. However, it's worth noting that FMAB has received a rating from many more users (1.8 million users) as compared to Kaguya-Sama’s 180,000.

This isn’t the first FMAB has slipped from the number one spot either, as other anime series such as Fruits Basket, Gintama and even movies like Your Name have briefly held that spot as well.

<b>Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood</b> <br /><br /> As far sprawling character-driven adventures go, you’d be hard-pressed to find one more gripping than the journey of Edward and Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The Elric brothers try to bring their dead mother back to life, using forbidden alchemy and pay a tormenting physical and mental price. The brothers set out to find a way to restore what was lost. Their journey to redemption, while dark and fascinating, also has lots of comedic moments and extremely lovable characters. While there’s some debate over which one’s better, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood adheres more closely to the manga, and arguably weaves a more cohesive and gripping narrative than the original 2003 series. <br /><br /> <i>Available subbed and dubbed</i>

FMAB will likely reclaim its throne after more users rate Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic- on MyAnimeList.

Regardless, this is still an incredible achievement for Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War as there are not many rom-com anime out there that could achieve the same ratings.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic- is still very well-received by fans as this new season is just as hilarious as the first two seasons that came before it.

The third season also gave tremendous development for the show’s main characters, namely Kaguya and Shirogane.
