Cephalophyllum sp.
We received this plant as “Cephalophyllum sp.”, but I suspect that it is Cephalophyllum tricolorum, one of the many yellow-flowered species in the genus. The plants in Cephalophyllum are from the western part of South Africa and neighboring southern Namibia, in the winter-rainfall zone. Most of them flower in winter, as this one is doing. They belong to the Ice Plant Family, Aizoaceae.
