Leucadendron ‘Wilson’s Wonder’

Leucadendron is a genus of shrubs and small trees in the Protea Family native to southern Africa. Unlike their relatives in the genus Protea, these plants have small flower heads, but they make up for this with showy bracts (modified leaves) which surround the flowers. In the case of the hybrid ‘Wilson’s Wonder’, the bracts are pale yellow, and they light up the whole bush when it is in bloom. It reaches a height of about 6 feet (2 m).
