Notice of Meeting for May 2, 2024
Meetings of the Peace River Regional District Board and Regional Hospital District will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Peace River Regional District Office located at 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC.
Agendas may be viewed on the PRRD’s web page at www.prrd.bc.ca/agendas-minutes/
The Regional District and Regional Hospital District draft audited financial statements will be presented at this meeting.
The PRRD will accept gallery questions and comments from the public, either at the meeting, or via email in advance, sent to tyra.henderson@prrd.bc.ca. Your comments and your name will be read out loud during the Gallery Questions and Comments portion of the meeting. Gallery comments are limited to items on the agenda, and each person has up to two minutes to share their views or pose questions for the Board’s consideration.

We are happy to share that the Wildmare Creek Fire EVACUATION ALERT 2 Rescind has been cancelled as of 15:00 hours (3:00 PM) on April 26, 2024.
Please note that an Evacuation Alert or Order may need to be reissued if the wildfire situation changes or worsens; however, if that is deemed necessary, a new Evacuation Alert or Order process will be started.

Wildmare Creek Fire Evacuation Order #1 Rescinded
Wildmare Creek Evacuation Order #1 Cancelled
Issued April 25, 2024 at 1100 hours (11:00 a.m.)
Based on recommendations from BC Wildfire, the Peace River Regional District has rescinded the Wildmare Creek Fire Evacuation Order #1 as of April 25, 2024 1100 hours
This means the Evacuation Order is cancelled for the following areas:
- Directly West of Bisset Creek
- South to Pine River
- East to Wildmare Creek
This notification does not apply to First Nations communities or municipalities as they issue their own Orders and Alerts.
Buick Water Station Closure
The Buick Water station will close for maintenance on April 30th at 3:30pm and will reopen May 2nd at 3:30pm. Please use alternative stations during this time.

Hudson’s Hope unattended recycling station to be relocated
Effective May 7, 2024, the unattended recycling station at the Legacy Market in Hudson’s Hope will be relocated to the Hudson’s Hope Transfer Station located at 20318 Canyon Road.
This decision is a necessary measure by the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) to mitigate the attraction of dangerous wildlife to a public area.
