Humidity

I'm destined for the desert, so keep my environment dry and mist free to keep me happy.

Light

I can handle a little shade that's thrown my way, but I prefer to be in bright, indirect sunlight.

Watering

I don't need much water. If my soil is dry I'm thirsty and it's time to water me!

If you keep the Bolivianum Forest Cactus in a shaded area, water it much less. The same goes for a bright spot - water your Cactus more if it gets more sunlight.

About Bolivianum Forest Cactus

This laid-back trailing cactus isn't all uptight with a rigid spine like its cacti cousins - instead, the Bolivianum Forest Cactus likes to take it easy and hang down. It doesn't just look chilled out it's also low maintenance. Your Lepismium Bolivianum rarely needs watering, only when the soil is completely dry. As it is a cactus, think desert conditions, so avoid humidity.

It's also happy in a wide range of temperatures, between 12-26°C (min 10°C), so no matter how hot or cold you like your home, this hanging cactus is cool with it. Give your cactus bright, indirect sunlight for it to grow the best, but it can survive in some shade - just reduce the water by around half to match the lower light.

Your Bolivian trailing cactus has a few sad signs you need to watch out for in order to keep it feeling its best. Too much water can cause browning or mould (not enough light can cause mould also). Too much light and foliage may turn red. If it is yellowing that is a sign of root rot. Be sure to avoid cutting through anything yellow when pruning any dead leaves.

This laid-back Prickle Plant is a slow grower and won't get bigger than 1m - so it's perfect for any size home! Keep your little ones away from it though as it is toxic to children and pets.
