Dustin Hoffman Makes Rare Public Outing with Wife Lisa at Lakers Game

Dustin Hoffman spent a night out with his wife Lisa.

The 86-year-old actor made a rare public outing in Los Angeles on Monday, attending an NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks at Crypto.com Arena.

Hoffman was photographed in the stands wearing a black windbreaker-style coat over a blue collared shirt, while his wife, 69, wore a gray blazer-style coat over a black turtleneck.

Other stars in attendance included Timothée Chalamet, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, Jodie Turner-Smith and more, as the Lakers lost with a final score of 109 to the Knicks' 114.

Monday was at least the second time the Hook actor and his wife of 43 years have been seen at a Lakers game, having attended a playoff match at the same venue in May.

Hoffman and Lisa, his second wife, married in October 1980. They share four children: Jake, 42, Rebecca, 40, Max, 39, and Alexandra, 36.

The two-time Oscar winner also shares daughters Jenna, 53, and Karina, born in 1966, with ex-wife Anne Byrne, whom Hoffman was married to from 1969 to 1980.

Like his famous father, Jake is also an actor, having starred alongside Hoffman in last year's Sam & Kate. The comedy also starred Sissy Spacek and her real-life daughter, actress Schuyler Fisk.

While Hoffman and his wife's marriage has lasted for more than four decades and he is a father of six, the actor said back in 2011 while discussing Little Fockers during the film's New York press junket, according to the Huffington Post, "There is nothing more unnatural than family or marriage. That's why they're both so difficult."

"You just wake up and suddenly clunk, you're ready. 'Okay, I guess that's it,' " he added at the time, per the outlet.

Back in 2007, Lisa discussed in an interview with the Daily Mail how Hoffman's mother was friends with Lisa's grandmother — and he even played piano at the wedding of Lisa's parents, when her mother was pregnant with her.

One day, when Lisa was 10 years old, "Dustin was telling us jokes, playing the piano and encouraging me to dance around the living room," she recalled to the outlet of herself and her younger brother.

"After we got together [12 years later], my grandmother reminded me that later that day I had said, 'I hope he waits for me because I want to marry him,' " Lisa added.

Shortly before they got together, when Lisa was 22, she hadn't seen Hoffman in many years, and he was in the process of getting a divorce from Byrne.

"My grandfather had recently passed away and Dustin came to pay his condolences," Lisa told DM, adding of seeing him again, "That first look and I knew."
