Lot Essay

Born in Hong Kong in 1970, Wilson Shieh graduated from the Art Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1994, and obtained a master's degree in art in 2001. His early works focus primarily on meticulous techniques, depicting modern characters and fantasy themes, and later developed forms such as sketches, oil paintings and collages. He uses the human body as the narrative motif, and made various inquiries on the identity issues of the contemporary world through various tailor-made clothing.
