ABOUT BEN EINE

Iconic street artist Ben Eine is best known for his series of spray-painted letter murals on storefront shutters along London’s Middlesex Street, or “Alphabet Street”, as it has become known.

Eine’s trademark colorful typography adorns streets in cities all over the world, including LA, Mexico City, and Tokyo. The artist also creates indoor installations and produces works on canvas in spray paint and acrylic. Eine gained worldwide recognition when British Prime Minister David Cameron presented one of his works to President Obama during a state visit. He was also invited to participate in Banksy’s 2008 “Cans Festival” in London.

Ben Eine is not simply just a master graffiti artist, but also the man responsible for printing some of the most important works to come out of the famous renegade “Pictures on Walls” studio where Eine’s accomplished screen printing skills produced some of street art’s most famous and highly sought after prints, including works by Banksy and FAILE, along with his own important images.

In 2013 Eine was commissioned by billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson (founder of Virgin Group) to create artwork for the Virgin Atlantic Airlines clubhouses at London Heathrow and New York JFK airports.  This innovative collaboration between Eine and Branson was one of the first of its kind, allowing Virgin Atlantic passengers to view Eine’s works in a completely custom virtual gallery.

His work is now held in the permanent collections of the V&A Museum London, The Museum of Modern Art Los Angeles, San Francisco’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Berlin’s Urban Nation Street Art Museum, Los Angeles ‘Beyond The Streets’ and The Dean Collection as well as the private collection of Louis Vuitton and numerous other commercial institutions.
