Their rice dishes were pretty average. Flavours were on the strong side, it gets a bit too much.
You choose the main, and get a side salad and soup. Can pay extra for drink and dessert/pudding.

Best part of the meal was a the baked pudding!! Very eggy and creamy, topped with a thick caramel sauce - delicious!!

Overall, don't mind eating it but wouldn't recommend it. If I do to go back, it will only be for the pudding!! Would much rather just get a shallot pancake with egg from down the street instead of eating the savory dish from here...

I'd been meaning to check out Rice Cafe for a couple of years. I finally got around to it because the rest of my go-to restaurants on Yong Kang Street were jam packed with Lunar New Year crowds.

The decor is nice and I thought the food was great. I couldn't finish my chicken over rice and egg though as I'm just not used to eating so much rice- although it was very good. The dishes come with a miso soup and a couple of small dishes- that day it was a few green beans and a slice of squid roll, plus cubed cucumber.

The salmon set came with A LOT of food. If you were really hungry this would be the one to go for. There was the salmon, broccoli, potato salad, lettuce, tomato, tuna coated lotus root, stewed vegetables, refillable rice and refillable miso soup.

We were a party of 5- three adults and two kids. The staff were nice and there were seat booster style "high chairs" available.

There is no English menu, but there are lots of pictures in the menu.

Oh and the pudding is great! We got one for the kids but it was so good I ended up ordering another one for myself. Really firm and almost creamy.

      Cash only.

Food tastes authentic and fresh, especially for the price! Interior is clean, well organized, and service is good.

The portion is nice. Even if I didn't order a set, the rice bowl still came with some side dishes and miso soup. The place is too crowded though.
