I'm surprised that no one else has Yelped this place yet. If you have a JR pass, it can be an easy day trip from Kyoto. More of a tranquil environment than a museum (in the traditional sense), the highlight of the space is the meditation room, the outdoor reflecting pool, and the surrounding grounds. Indoors, there is a small exhibition about Suzuki's life, with a few sparse wall labels and calligraphic works, but I spent most of my time outside, studying the water and reading a book on one of the benches scattered around the perimeter. Because it is easy to become overwhelmed by the fast pace and crowds that inhabit daily life in Japan, this is an excellent spot to decompress and be quiet. Particularly on a nice day, it would be easy to sit outside for hours.
