Maybe my new favorite restaurant! I found this randomly thanks to yelpers, since I was shopping in the area. It has a beautiful lit pathway up to the sliding door. Inside is an open space with shared tables for large groups and a bit of counter space near the front. We didn't have any reservations but they let us sit as long as we finished in two hours before the reserved tables were needed.
They have a great collection of awamori, if you want to sample or want to buy a bottle but don't finish, they can store it for you for a couple months. They have a beautiful collection of Yomitan pottery artists, many of which I recognize the style from exploring Yomitan and Tsubuya's pottery districts.
The food is excellent and each dish is presented in a small portion with carefully balanced flavors meant to be shared family style. We started with an octopus dish flavored gently with miso, crunchy radish, refreshing cucumber and nori. Then we had an excellent cold pork dish with raw red onions which complemented it perfectly. Unfortunately they were out of the benimo dumplings with minced meat but I will return to try them out. The karage chicken was hot and crispy with a tinge of lemon and no bone or cartilage. The agedage peanut tofu was soft and mild with a smooth texture.
Make sure you have a designated driver because you'll want to sample some of the awamori. Even if you aren't a big fan, the cocktail are simply delicious and so well mixed.
Service was excellent and the atmosphere was refined but comfortable and you could tell the staff enjoyed their jobs.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kiomi N.沖縄県, Japan40145765Dec 14, 2016

The hype is real! I'm half okinawan and this is my favorite restaurant here so far: we got like 10 dishes and they were all delicious! The homemade awamori hit the spot as well, not to mention the friendly service. Best in yomitan!

Cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Good local food. Prices are reasonable. Homemade mango awamori was delicious. Worth looking for this place. Parking is right across the street.

ALWAYS top notch. This place serves up some of the best Okinawan food you can hope to find on the island. It's a good place to try some the Okinawa delicacies like tofuyo. They also have an impressive Awamori selection and beautiful decor but really, it's the food that stands out.
