Fire Companies Respond To Small Blaze In Bristol
Firefighters responded to a small blaze Friday afternoon in Bristol Borough.
Crews were called out at 4:35 p.m. for a report of a fire on an exterior wall in the 200 block of Buckley Street.
Upon arrival, the emergency responders discovered a small fire within the exterior wall, concealed behind the electric meter, Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack said.
The fire was quickly extinguished, Slack said.
The investigation revealed that the fire was linked to recent electrical work conducted inside the residence, Slack said.
PECO crews disconnected the power supply to the affected dwelling.
Bristol Borough Code Enforcement was notified to assess the situation further.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
The America Hose, Hook and Ladder; Bristol; Bristol Consolidated; Croydon; Goodwill Hose; and Third District fire companies responded to the scene.
