While researching illustration I came across the art works of Ana Juan. There is a whimsical candor about the works. Some of the works could be considered dreamlike. Taken from a place deep within the mind. I’m reminded of Frida Kahlo. I believe the artist’s inspiration of Khalo is a homage. Straight forward yet complicated. Beautiful and sincere.
