It was great seeing this aggregating jelly (Eutonina indicans) pulsing through the water at McKenzie Bight. The frilly mouth of this animal hangs low at the end of a stalk. This jelly is often abundant in the spring and summer months, and can grow to 1.6 inches (4 cm) across. The range of the aggregating jelly includes Japan, Siberia, and northern Alaska to southern California.
