Despite physical, cultural, economic and other obstacles, millions of people have recently emigrated from one country to another in search of a better life. Consequently, the importance of this research topic has grown over time. Analysis of this regional approach is based on the OECD censuses, and its unique Database on Immigrants (DIOC), which makes it possible to generate a wide variety of cross-tabulations on the characteristics of asylum-seekers by the country of their birth. The aim of this study is to contribute to literature by analysing the role of regional differences in migration more closely in terms of the importance of migration regulation policies in the OECD countries. According to the results based on Binary Logistic (Logit) and Linear (OLS) Regression models, the educational attainment, age, sex and the place of birth of migrants are related in different ways to their region of origin. Moreover, male migrants are more skilled than females, migrants who are more educated are older than the less skilled, and foreign-born migrants seemed to be older than native-born migrants. There is also additional evidence suggesting that different regions and countries might follow different policies and norms for admission of migrants. Therefore, forthcoming migration governance programs that aim to facilitate the labour market integration of migrants should also take into consideration their regional characteristics.

The turbulent changing economic environment following the 2008 global financial and economic crisis has posed a major challenge to the majority of producing and manufacturing companies. The recessionary economy of the European Union, the " marginal countries " existence on the edge of bankruptcy, the shortage of loans and the subdued consumption of the population all affect the way in which products are marketed and the integration of accompanying services. This change has a significant impact on logistics processes and logistics service providers, as they face changing tasks and challenges in supply chain management. The authors intend to address this impact in their article, which also takes into account the results of international scientific papers.

The effects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) is one of the economic mysteries of the current literature. However, at sectoral-level, it has still failed to provide any obvious empirical evidence regarding any direct link between patents and productivity. The chief contribution of this research paper is to provide empirical evidence on how chemistry patents relate to productivity growth in the case of a low-tech intensive industry (Food, Beverage and Tobacco). In order to support both the theoretical and empirical findings of the literature a dynamic regression model is tested and found a valid representation of the negative relationship between food chemistry patents granted and productivity growth in the long run. Subsequently, some conclusions and policy implications are suggested in order to support the enhanced productivity growth performance of these food industries, highlighting the importance of changes in current property protection systems

Abstract The 7 billion global population is projected to grow
by 70 million per annum, increasing by 30 % to 9.2 billion by
2050. This increased population density is projected to increase
demand for food production by 70%notably due to changes in
dietary habits in developing countries towards high quality
food, e.g. greater consumption of meat and milk products and
to the increasing use of grains for livestock feed. The availability
of additional agricultural land is limited. Any expansion will
happen mostly at the expense of forests and the natural habitats
containing wildlife, wild relatives of crops and natural enemies
of crop pests. Furthermore, more agricultural land will be used
to produce bio-based commodities such as biofuel or fibre
instead of food. Thus, we need to grow food on even less land,
with less water, using less energy, fertiliser and pesticide than
we use today. Given these limitations, sustainable production at
elevated levels is urgently needed. The reduction of current
yield losses caused by pests is a major challenge to agricultural
production. This review presents (1) worldwide crop losses due
to pests, (2) estimates of pesticide-related productivity, and
costs and benefits of pesticide use, (3) approaches to reduce
yield losses by chemical, as well as biological and recombinant
methods of pest control and (4) the challenges of the cropprotection
industry. The general public has a critical function in
determining the future role of pesticides in agriculture. However,
as long as there is a demand for pesticide-based solutions
to pest control problems and food security concerns, the externality
problems associated with the human and environmental
health effects of pesticides need also to be addressed.

Ehhez egyértelműen hozzájárult a rövidlátó gazdaságpolitika is. A jövÅ‘ben számos új GM növény piaci bevezetése várható.

A behatárolt mozgástérben a mezÅ‘gazdaságból származó jövedelmek reálértéke – szintén túlzott ágazati aránytalanságokkal – legfeljebb a 2006. évi szinten marad. Rámutattunk azonban arra is,
