Six Lakers Land on All-CHA Teams

Boston, Mass. - College Hockey America announced their All-CHA teams and All-Rookie team Thursday afternoon and the Lakers had six players make an All-CHA team, the most by any team. 

Sara Boucher, Sydney Pedersen, and Ena Nystrøm earned All-CHA First Team honors.    

Boucher finished the regular season with 17 goals, 21 assists, and 38 points, which were all team highs.  In the CHA she finished tied for second in goals, third in assists and third in points.  She also moved into 16th place on the CHA all-time scoring list.  Boucher adds a First Team selection to her list of postseason awards along with three Second Team selections and an All-Rookie Selection. 

Pedersen finished tied for the most assists among CHA defensemen with 19, while adding seven goals for 26 points.  She also became the 17th defensemen to reach the 60-career point mark.  Pedersen received an All-Rookie team selection in 2021-22, so this is her second All-CHA selection. 

Nystrøm finished the regular season with a record of 18-14-1, a save percentage of .926, a goal allowed average of 2.21, 916 saves, and six shutouts.  Those six shutouts were tied for second most in the country.  Nystrøm reached the 2,000 career saves mark and reached 50 career wins during the season.  Nystrøm led the CHA in minutes played, and was second in GAA, save percentage, and saves.  This is the second straight year that Nystrøm has received All-CHA First Team selection.  She also has a Second Team selection in 2021-22.         

Vanessa Upson earned All-CHA Second Team honors.  Upson finished the regular season with 14 goals, 16 assists and 30 points.  Upson ranked eighth in the CHA in goals, sixth in points, and second in face-off wins with 412.  Those 412 face-off wins ranked sixth in the country.  Upson adds another All-CHA selection to her collection of postseason awards, including a 2022-23 Second Team selection, and a 2021-22 All-Rookie and First Team selection.       

Sofia Nuutinen and Sofia Ljung were named to the All-CHA Rookie Team.  Nuutinen finished the regular season with 10 goals, 19 assists, and 29 points.  Nuutinen tied for the most assists by a freshman in the CHA and led all CHA freshman in points.  She also had the second most points by a freshman in the country.  Ljung finished with 4 goals, 10 assists for 14 points.  Those 10 assists and 14 points were third on the team among defensemen, and second among freshmen.
