Boston, Mass. - College Hockey America announced their players of the week Monday afternoon and Sydney Pedersen was named Defender of the Week as well as Ena Nystrøm was named Goaltender of the Week. 

Pedersen registered two points (1G, 1A) in Saturday's win over Syracuse. She assisted on a power play goal that gave the Lakers the lead late in the second period, and her goal early in the third period put the game out of reach. This is the second straight week Pedersen has been selected as Defender of the Week, and her seventh selection overall (5x weekly & 2x monthly)  

Nystrøm went 2-0 in net this weekend with a 1.5 GAA, and a .951 save percentage. She allowed three goals and tallied 58 saves during the series win over Syracuse. She also skated in her 100th career game and her win on Saturday was the 50th of her career. This is Nystrøm's fourth Goaltender of the Week selection and her fifth overall selection. 

The Lakers will return to action this weekend when they host Robert Morris in the Semifinals of the CHA tournament. Puck-drop for Friday's game is set for 2 PM.
