Silver Duckwing PhoenixThe Silver Duckwing Phoenix was developed in post World War II Germany. It was crossed with Onagadori (bred in Japan nearly 1000 years ago) and game birds. The Phoenix was bred to have exceptionally long tails, but not to the extravagant length of the Onagadori. The male Phoenix, depending on bloodline, can have tails that reach 4-5 feet. Admitted into the American Standard of Perfection in 1965.
