It’s actually more like character route review with lots and lots of pics..
Katagiri Yuuhi, your fiancee first met 10 years ago. Transferred happily to Junichi’s school hoping to met her first love, only to be chased by dude and he comes to ensure her safety by kissing her in public. I said ‘her’ safety, not him, getting headbutted from your fiancee and cold stare from your beloved sister, added with no dinner and breakfast, then got hit by a locker in the head the next day because not many people hoping for the success of your engagement. I said she is a bad news.
But nonetheless, she had a good character, definitely not someone you would got yourself disgusted with, unless provoked with stupid remarks. Even Minato said that Yuuhi might be more dangerous to Jun’ichi than those want to break their engagement.
I went through her route last, since I prefer to do things in order of plot revelation. The scriptwriter did a good job for escalating things to the climax, but like many otherstory everywhere, the anti-climax is too powerful that they’re going too fast to end it.
Nagase Minato, your dear sister. But Junichi is dear for her too, but maybe too dear to her. Many boys are targeting her, but since Junichi is in their way, nobody ever prevail. That’s why when Yuuhi arrived, those fanboys of hers are getting active again.
I actually like her scenario the best because after their seperation, Junichi went through dark times. Yeah, I like tragic stories. He keep imagining of her appearance in their house which scares him out, his friends starting to take distance from him, and amost died of freezing out of cold. Fortunately, Yuuhi comes to the rescue, nursing him back to health, becoming a place for him to consult his worries, and repairing his relationships with his friends. I actually disappointed with the others, because they expect him to mop in front of them than becoming his support voluntarily. A cornered man don’t like to ask others pity because they don’t want to burden the others with their worries. It’s a whole different story if people come to your support, you ask them to share their worries.
Well even though their relationship is wrong in almost every aspect, they don’t really deserve the blame. I’d say that it’s normal for them to care about the others too much to the point of no return. Their parents are having too much of their way, doing everything to their liking. Even at the time of seperation, none of them are at their kids side, thus Junichi falls easily into despair. This is easily my favorite route from all others.
Shiina Mitsuki, the student council president. She is like an idol to the whole school with her cheerful attitude. Or is it really the case?
I don’t have many things to said about her, since she is the golden key to almost every things happened. You will understand many things once you go through her route, and that’s not something to be missed.
Shiraishi Nagomi, the mysterious underclassman. With her cynical statements and mischieveness, she did well cracking laughs out of me. She is sent to break the engagements with all possible way. But she actually had a rather straightforward personality, so she excuse herself from outrageous conduct. But she did offer herself to Junichi in the condition of the engagement break off.
Junichi got quite a hard time dealing with her, since she likes to create misunderstanding to other people, which just giving him headaches. Or maybe it would be appropriate to say that he can’t win against her, unless he made her fall for him.
Like I already said in one image caption above, the best way to capture a girl’s heart is to bet your life for her, and be persistent. But since the chance of it happens is very rare, don’t count on it.
She is the sharp, agile, strong, more of the dominant type, and very protective of her lover. I guess I find the best character here. You couldn’t find better partner for life from these qualities of hers.
Kiryuu Tsukasa. I don’t have many things to said about her other than it’s a waste of my time going through her route. Even one-dedicated-chapter Aya-senpai perform better than Tsukasa. So let’s skip to the secret character here.
Tachibana Mikoto, special character that got her own plot after her past appearance in Aozora no Mieru Oka. She is actually Junichi’s first love, but they never talk for the second time the next time they met due to things happened. That is, until 10 years later.
It’s interesting that the scriptwriter managed to include her inside the normal plot as if she had always been there, because she is not meant to be there at all. Of course, since her appearance is not natural, Nagomi and Aya managed to keep their true memory intact, giving Junichi clues about her real self.
Her reason to meet Junichi is slightly mentioned at Yuuhi’s route, where Junichi is almost lose his consciousness after she broke their engagement. But in her own route, her true motive will be revealed.
The solution to the trouble is reminds me to Type-Moon, when they giving excuses for getting at it. Since she is cute, then I’ll forgive them.
Well, this is the end for my review for this game. For next one, I’m going for Aozora no Mieru Oka, an older realease from feng. Since I’m still in my backlog exploration mode, it’s easier for me to play those from the same company serially, because you know what to expect from the last one you played. It might be sometime before I went through the newer release from last month. And I guess I’ll try to shorten things up, since 1000+ words is a lot to write, or maybe I’ll break things into several post for the next entry.
Oooh, this is making me want to play it now. Mikoto has some nice undies. =P
And these girls really love hair accessories.

Hm I wonder if the naked chick above will show up in the anime. o_o; Now I kinda wonder who they’ll make Junichi end up with. I really like the art/character designs for this game, but I’ve sworn off playing eroge/otome games. They’re so tacky and everytime the sex scene comes up JP starts laughing really loud and I can’t play the game seriously LOL

@m3rryweather: Well, there’s nothing to lose if you play this game, in fact it can be a better experience aside from watching the show itself. I’ve finished Aozora no Mieru Oka, and I say Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka is definitely a great development from the story part.
@Hinano: Well, I think eroge is something you don’t play in front of other people, even though they play it too. 😀

Well, actually Yuuhi breaks their engagement because she doesn’t want to make their love to be artificial created through engagements, but because their love is real. Little they know the decision is going to make the worst situation possible.
