Black screen after launching #10

That's simply awful. My Thursday evening has now been ruined as I sit huddled in the pensive darkness clutching only a restorative comfort tub of cookie dough ice cream. Admittedly, I would have been doing that anyway. The point still stands. My ugly suspicion is that I may not be able to help and that this issue will remain unresolved from here until eternity, which is a very long time indeed. (Just ask Saber.) That said, I have a laundry list of things you might like to try that probably won't actually help anything:
If none of those help, would you mind posting the full log in a GitHub reply (e.g., using "```" Markdown code fence delimiters)? There might be something dreadful lurking in there that I can help you with... might. Cue sad-faced fat clowns. 🤡 |
Hmm, that's a shame. None of these seem to help. When DXVK is disabled the game immediately stops after launching, so I'll post full logs for both DXVK disabled & enabled. I'll probably try installing it on another system, maybe that'll give me better luck. DXVK enabled:

Whenever I try to launch the game, I only get this black screen:
The game sounds start playing and the options menus seem to be working.
In the logs I see the following lines repeatedly being written. I'm assuming these are the problem.
D3D : The method call is invalid. For example, a method's parameter may not be a valid pointer
BasicDrawDevice: Failed to create Direct3D Device: Faild to decide backbuffer format.
I have already manually replaced all of the patch files.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
