Woman found safe in Clarksville

UPDATE: Brandi Britton has been located and is safe, according to police. They say she contacted the Clarksville Police Department after seeing the reports and they verified her safety.

Clarksville Police are searching for a woman to conduct a welfare check.

According to police, a domestic call came in around 2 p.m. and the caller reportedly used a stranger's phone at a local gas station to make the 911 call. The caller stated that her boyfriend set her house on fire and was walking around with a gas can and a lighter. She also advised officers that she would be waiting in a black Ford Taurus.

When officers arrived to the scene, they saw a man running away who then got into a black car and fled. Police tried to contact the woman again, but were unsuccessful.

Officers checked the home on Lilac Drive that she said to be on fire but found no sign of fire or anyone inside. Multiple pieces of mail was located in the home with the name Brandi Britton.

After investigation, policed determined that Britton was the one that used the stranger's phone to make the 911 call and that she has a black Ford Taurus.

Police are currently attempting to locate Britton and her black 2012 Ford Taurus with the TN license plate 4F50G5.

Anyone with information on Britton's whereabouts are urged to call 911 so police can ensure that she is safe and unharmed.

Britton is said to be 5'9", 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
