Wattle Day 2023

1 September 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and celebrate Australia’s National Floral Emblem, the wattle tree (Acacia). For centuries, the wattle tree has been a big part of our history and culture. Its colour brings joy to many, and its abundance is an early reminder that spring is on its way.

The schedule for the day includes a talk about Wattle Tree, followed by a morning tea break and a discussion about wattle trees in the garden. Visitor Information Centre will also have a beautiful range of Wattle Tree products . Additionally, the Narrabri Shire Biosecurity Officer (weed control) will be offering a free Wattle Tree!
