Officially putting the sex in sextet, the L.A. burlesque troupe-turned-pop group flirt and tease through their debut, The Pussycat Dolls, with surprisingly supple Xtina-like vocalizing. But not even B-squad urban cabaret pop from A-list production heavyweights (Timbaland, will.I.am, Rich Harrison) can arouse our interest for a whole 45 minutes. And an important kitty litter alert: Beware the atrociously misguided electro covers of ”Hot Stuff” and ”Tainted Love.”
