Each new episode of The Mandalorian introduces a ton of new characters and concepts to the rich Star Wars universe. I’m not just talking about Baby Yoda, either! Through this flagship Disney+ series, we’ve learned more about the crime world traditions of the galaxy, gotten to see a lot more from those notorious bounty hunters, and we’ve gotten a glimpse of how things shook out for Rebel soldiers once the war was won.

Episode 4 of The Mandalorian kept the reveals coming, with the addition of a new planet (Sorgan) and new characters (Gina Carano’s Cara Dune!) to the mythos. But there’s one character that stole the show–at least, she tried to steal the show. It’s hard to snag attention when Baby Yoda’s around, sipping bone broth and spitting up frogs. That character is Omera, a farmer who has a way with a blaster and may have won over the Mandalorian’s armored heart.

Here’s everything we know about Omera on The Mandalorian.

Who is Omera on The Mandalorian?

We first meet Omera in “Chapter 4: Sanctuary,” an episode that takes place largely on the remote farming planet Sorgan. It’s there that Omera lives in a small collective of farmers along with her daughter, Winta. While it’s not specified that Omera has a formal leadership role in the community, she is the most prominent Sorgan farmer in the episode. She shows the Mandalorian to his quarters and, over the course of the episode, develops what feels like the very beginning of a kind of a smolder-y will they/won’t they with our masked antihero. I mean, he almost takes off his mask for her!

Most intriguing, though, is Omera’s sharpshooting skills. While the rest of the farmers are clueless when it comes to weaponry, Omera reveals that she’s fired a blaster before. Not only that, she’s good at it. Really good. This comes in handy when the outgunned farmers rise up against a gang of Klatooinian raiders and their Imperial AT-ST. But her time with the Mandalorian is ultimately cut short, as his presence as a wanted man continues to draw unwanted attention to the remote village. He leaves Omera, the farmers, and Sorgan behind… perhaps for good.
