Philly-Style Soft Pretzels Arrive in Dallas

It’s a good weekend in Dallas, because the Cowboys beat the Eagles on Sunday and the first DFW outpost of the Philly Pretzel Factory made its debut.

The new soft pretzel destination arrived on Saturday, according to a post to its Facebook page, just one day before the Cowboys surpassed expectations to secure a 27-20 win against the Eagles on Sunday night. The local outpost of the Philadelphia-based chain is owned by franchisees Brian and Meredith Jaworowski, two Philly expats who missed the soft, bready insides and crispy outsides that make the city’s pretzels famous.

Also unique is the shape of Philly Pretzel Factory’s doughy offerings, which resemble a figure-eight or paperclip as opposed to the traditional pretzel configuration. Pockets of pretzel dough stuffed with cheesesteak fixings and pretzel-wrapped hot dogs are also on offer, along with sweet cinnamon pretzel twists.

Philly Pretzel Factory is now open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
