WH: Julian earns Honor Roll spot after big weekend

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior Amelia Julian (Apple Valley, Minn.) picked up weekly honors from the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) after helping the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team to its first 2-0 start to NEHC play last weekend.

Julian earned a spot on the NEHC Honor Roll thanks to a 1.00 goals against average and .960 save percentage as the Panthers topped UMass Boston and Johnson & Wales over the weekend. Julian turned aside 29 shots as PSU held off the Beacons, 3-2, on Friday for interim head coach Ben Chipman's first career win.

Julian and the Panthers moved to 2-0 in the conference for the first time in school history after blanking JWU, 1-0, on Saturday. Julian finished with 19 saves in the shutout, her first of the year and the fourth of her career.

Plymouth State is off this week before heading to Norwich a week from Friday (Nov. 17) for a 6:00 p.m. clash with the Cadets.
