Il Secolo XIX via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan are monitoring 22 year old Genoa striker Gianluca Scamacca who is owned by Sassuolo. Milan will be in the market for a new striker to take over from Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the long term but need to secure someone this summer, the youngster is a top choice. Genoa wish to renew his loan for another season but an important offer from Milan to Sassuolo could change that.

Gazzetta dello Sport via MilanNews.it are reporting that Scamacca is a main target for Milan. He was scouted when Milan faced Genoa today at the San Siro earlier today. The price of the player seems to be increasing from 25 million euros in January to about 30 million now.

Scamacca spoke to SportWeek via Calcio Mercato and praise Milan striker Ibrahimovic as follows:

“A young player must play as much as possible, stealing the secrets. Then, however, it’s clear that if you are the backup of a champion who cannot play all of the games at 39, it’s a different story. Ibrahimovic is an icon for me. Seeing him do certain things at his age, perhaps with more determination than before, fascinates and stimulates me a lot.”
