Stephen Sackur talks to John Sloboda of the Iraq Body Count Project.

How many Iraqis have met with violent, unnatural deaths in the two and a half years since American forces invaded the country?

The truth is, noone knows. Neither the coalition forces, nor Iraq's interim government have tried to keep an exhaustive body count.

John Sloboda is an academic and campaigner who has independently tried to tally Iraq's dead.

But is it objective research or emotive point-scoring?
